Here are my non-PPR, standard rankings for Week One of the regular season! Wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will never do the first game of the week (usually Thursdays). Be sure to follow me on Twitter and join the iCon Nation. Let's get it on!
Quarterbacks
1. Matt Ryan @ Kansas City - Chiefs' defense is going to be pathetic this week. Matt Ryan is my projected MVP. He's poised for a huge year and will rip the Chiefs up.
2. Cam Newton @ Tampa Bay - Newton threw for four touchdowns and ran for four more in two games against the Bucs last season. I like the matchup.
3. Matthew Stafford vs St. Louis
4. Michael Vick @ Cleveland
5. Tom Brady @ Tennessee
6. Drew Brees vs Washington
7. Aaron Rodgers vs San Francisco
8. Philip Rivers @ Oakland
9. Matt Schaub vs Minnesota...

I would say that quarterbacks, by a large margin, are the most boring, and easiest position to rank in football this year. My rankings tend to be different from the mainstream media's rankings in years passed, but this year they are very similar.
Of course, it is only early July and in most situations on most teams are wait-and-see. However, for the most part, you can just about lock in your top ten to twelve quarterbacks. So here are my top ten quarterbacks for the 2012 season*.
*remember, it's only July, these ARE NOT final.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers - He seems to be the consensus number one this year. Rodgers, along with my next quarterback are the safest picks in fantasy for the 2012 season.
2. Tom Brady, Patriots - 39 touchdowns in 2012 and now he adds Brandon Lloyd and hisprimary backs (Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen) are both...

Welcome to my inaugural post at iCon Fantasy Sports. My first few posts will be going through the top 10 fantasy football players at each position. I am starting with quarterback because, well, thats where everyone starts. Quarterback has almost always been the most important position of the field in the NFL and it is starting to become no different in fantasy football. I believe there are six truly elite quarterbacks this season. Here are my preliminary top 10:

1. Aaron Rodgers (GB) - Rodgers is still my gold standard at the quarterback position. His passing and running competition is often emulated, but rarely duplicated, much like a damn good Jack n' Coke. Rodgers has averaged 4,259 passing yards and 33 passing TDs in four seasons since taking over as a starter, comparable numbers to Tom Brady and Drew Brees. This, while also averaging 284 rushing yards and 4...
